Hankook Tire fits the All-New Ford Focus Active with its acclaimed Ventus Prime 3

December 13, 2018 (Seoul, Korea) - Hankook Tire has announced that it will start providing original equipment tires to the All-New Ford Focus Active. The tire that will be fitted is Hankook Ventus Prime 3, an ultra-high performance tire with the perfect balance between performance, comfort and safety.

Hankook Ventus Prime 3 shows excellent driving and braking performance in wet and dry surfaces. With its wide 4 channel grooves, rapid drainage occurs that provides superior wet performance. Also, its grooves have optimized design for each position, minimizing the trade-off between wet and dry performance. New technologies such as the compounding technology has been applied, making use of a high-grip silica tread compound that provides improved wet braking.

With such features, the Ventus Prime 3 has been recognized internationally. It has been awarded “Good”, the top mark, from German Automobile Club ADAC in 2018 product test as well as placed first out of 51 competitors in the 2018 tire test conducted by Auto Bild, one of the largest and most significant tire product tests in the world. While this proves the great performance of the tire, it does not lose its beauty, being awarded the 2016 Red Dot Design Concept in product design.

The Ventus Prime 3 will be available on the All-New Ford Focus Active starting this month in sizes 215/50R18V and 215/55R17V. The All-New Ford Focus Active reveals an entirely new concept for Ford Motor Company, in which the Focus delivers more style, space and advanced driving technologies for mid-size family car customers than ever before. As for Focus Active, its design is rugged and versatile, inspired from SUVs and the features incorporate an array of smart technologies including selectable drive modes. The Ventus Prime 3, with its larger size, is expected to make the vehicle more stable, increasing performance in all terrains.
